Remove the Idols

What’s blocking so many Christians from experiencing God’s supernatural peace, joy, and the Spirit-empowered life Jesus paid for?

Maybe even you?

I’ll tell you, we have so many fillers (and distractions) in our lives that we have decided are our source of comfort and satisfaction, but the truth is, they are idols in God’s place and they need to go.

Family, we go DEEP in my latest book, Ripple Effect.

Here’s a pull from chapter 4:

“Living with idols in God’s place creates a negative ripple effect that leads to anxiety, stress, depression, sin, and overindulgences causing us to be a slave to our flesh rather than a life in rhythm with the Spirit.

Anything that our flesh craves versus what our new life in Christ should look like knocks us out of the abundant and empowered Holy Spirit life that we have access to.

Through Jesus, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are no longer slaves to anything our old natures once craved!

This is why the Bible tells us to crucify the flesh and live by the Spirit.

‘Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.’ — Galatians 5:24-25 (NIV)

The key highlight is this: ‘they have crucified.’” —Ripple Effect

It’s time to remove the idols and fillers that we have put in God’s place, deceiving ourselves into believing those things will bring us the comfort or satisfaction we need.

They don’t.

They are hindering our spiritual maturity and blocking us from living completely free.

Let’s decide today that we are done living with things between us and God that are blocking us from living that empowered life in the Spirit, take those cravings to the feet of Jesus and nail them to the cross!

Your freedom, your healing, and your spirit-empowered life is waiting for you!

Much love, J
