Jesus came to set us free but are you actually living free?

Do you live with knots in your stomach, heaviness in your chest, and thoughts of insecurity and worry?

Jesus came to set us free but are you actually living free?

I think these are really important questions to ask ourselves in order to make sure we’re living in the fullness of life that Jesus paid for.

From my personal experience, I’ve learned that many of my brothers and sisters are internally struggling.

I’m going to go out on a limb and make a bold statement. One that might upset people, but I challenge you to stop and consider what I’m trying to say…

We do not need more ministries to plug into to get freedom.

We need to plug into Jesus, remain connected to Him, learn what it looks like to cultivate intimacy in the secret place, and yield to the work of the Holy Spirit in and through us.

We don’t need more deliverance. We don’t need to work harder, try again, do better, and find another strategy for freedom — Jesus set the captives free.

His blood is enough.

His grace is sufficient.

His transforming power is in us!

We have complicated Christianity, and we are missing out on what it means and feels like to live life in the Spirit.

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with Me and work with Me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” — Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

It’s time we start living in the freedom and lightness that is ours, wouldn’t you say?

Let’s undo the religious checklist that so many of us are living from, recognize some belief systems that have complicated Christianity, and learn to live through the power of the Holy Spirit that’s within us.

God is calling us to break free from the religious system that has created a false comfort, blocking us from living in the freedom and victory that Jesus paid for, leaving us feeling heavy and filled with the worries of this life. What’s familiar to us and “the way it’s always been done” is not setting us up to be more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. This familiar cycle is causing us to seek outside stability when our stability is truly found when our life is built on the Rock.

Are you ready to do away with check-list Christianity and live powerfully in everything that Jesus paid for?

Let’s get away with Jesus, recover our lives so we can live out what we believe!

Much love, J
