I was having my Jesus time this morning when the Holy Spirit dropped this on my heart to share with you today…
He said, “whatever you do, do it for Me and you’ll never feel burnt out.”
Can you imagine going through life and never reaching the point of burn out?
How often do we find ourselves with a loss of passion that we once had? No matter what it is that we’re doing, who are we doing it for?
Ourselves?
The approval of others?
The large following?
The perceived results we thought we should have?
When we go at life with the wrong motive, we will experience burn out. Many will even begin to resent what they set out to do when they don’t get the response from people they feel they should have—and they quit.
Or they continue on, but are just going through the motions without the passion they once had.
This breaks God’s heart. Especially if He’s given you a vision and what started from a place of zeal and excitement slowly fades when the results are not as quick as you thought.
When our focus is not on people (or ourselves), but on Him, and we are truly doing whatever it is we are doing all for His glory, our passion, our zeal, and our excitement will never fade.
Let’s get our hearts and our focus back on the only One who can truly satisfy the longing of our hearts. Let’s take our eyes off the results and realize that God is in the process and in the outcome, and whatever you do, do it for Him.
“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” —Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT)
📷 I thought I almost killed my hydrangeas that Rolf bought for me over five years ago. One day I saw a small hint of life and was determined to learn what they needed. Today, they are more than ten times their original size! Isn’t that incredible?! I think so. 😉🌿🥰
