Do you know you can prevent yourself from moving forward?

Do you know that you can prevent yourself from moving forward?

Our thoughts are the driving force behind everything. If we continually allow our minds to trail back to yesterday, we will stay stuck!

Paul’s words in Philippians are powerful —

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” – Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT)

The key phrase is “Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.”

You see, Paul got it. He realized how vital it is to keep our focus on what’s ahead. When our attention is on the past, whether it’s of regret and mistakes, or pain and heartache, we prevent ourselves from moving forward.

When we’re staring at the past, we can’t see our future!

We have got to be intentional and train our minds to leave the past where it belongs — in our yesterday!

Friend, I know you’ve been hurt. I know what you’ve experienced has been hard, BUT GOD!

He is not finished.

He is working all things out for your good.

He has chosen you for such a time as this and He has a plan for your future!

It’s time to rise up and press on.

It’s time to FAITH FORWARD!

Much love,

Jillian
