How to Pray Your Way to Peace

It’s easy to go to God and list all that’s wrong, but have you connected with how you feel afterward?

Do you feel lifted?

At peace?

Strengthened?

Probably not.

Philippians 4:6-8 gives us strategy on how to experience God’s supernatural peace, how to go to God with the areas that weigh us down, and what to do moving forward:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

I woke up this morning and found myself naturally journaling about God’s faithfulness, and how I’m so thankful that no matter what I go through, I have full confidence in knowing that He will use it all for my good.

He is my rock, my fortress, and my ever-present help in times of need. He is my strength, my peace, and in Him I have fullness of joy!

I came out of my Jesus time this morning so ready to take on my day.

Is everything smooth in my life? No — it’s definitely not!

But…

His peace is present—

My heart and soul are strengthened—

And today — today I’m thankful for the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.
