Where do you put your trust?

Where you put your trust will determine whether or not you experience God’s peace.

It’s true!

Are you struggling to experience a constant well of peace?

Believe it or not, the problem is not a lack of trust.

The truth is, you are putting your trust in something. Whether it be yourself, your job, your church community, your family, or your bank account (fill in the blank), you are putting your trust in many different areas of life, and these areas can change at any given moment leading you to worry and anxiety.

Someone can say something (or not say something) that leaves you insecure.

You can go through financial hardship.

You can experience loss, betrayal, broken relationships…all of the above and more.

And when the storms of life hit, if your trust is not rooted in Him, the peace that surpasses all understanding will be void from your life.

If you want to live with a constant well of peace — stop putting your trust in what can change at any given moment, and put your full trust in the One who never will.

He is faithful.

He is trustworthy.

He is your constant and unfailing peace through the storm.

Put your full trust in Him.

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. -Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
