Kingdom Come

We’ve fallen into the enemy’s trap.

We’ve allowed the way of our world to come in and pollute the call of the church by buying into ideas that cutting people out of our lives is protecting our peace and when you truly know your worth, you surround yourself with those who treat you the way you deserve. Some have even justified getting back at those they feel have wronged them. We’re leaving relationships, jobs, and churches that maybe we’ve been assigned to by God as soon as we feel mistreated, attacked, or uncomfortable…

The result?

We are immature “Christians” and are far from the heart of our Heavenly Father.

Family,

This may be right in the culture of the world we live in, but we are no longer citizens of this world, our citizenship is in Heaven.

We’ve been called, redeemed, marked, and chosen by God to represent the very image of who He is; He is love; we are made in His image — our true identities are intact.

This confidence breaks the need to be seen right by others, we’re already made right in Him.

And we have an assignment here on earth — to shine Him.

We are the salt of the earth; the light of the world…this plan was established long ago.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.

-Ephesians 2:10

Let’s get real…the enemy does not care how many hands are raised at church on Sunday.

He doesn’t care about how many Bible studies we attend or how many ministries we serve in.

He certainly is not impressed with our knowledge about God and the mysteries of the supernatural, or how many conferences we’ve attended.

The enemy is defeated when we become love and shine in the midst of a broken and dark world.

He freaks out when we forgive those who’ve hurt us and love from a pure heart and genuine faith.

He hates it when we “glory” in times of tribulation.

We kick him in the you-know-what when we love and bless the one that curses us and give to those who don’t deserve it.

Why?

Because he can’t take us out of our race anymore…

We’ve died to ourselves and we’re living Christ…we’re a threat to his twisted dark kingdom and those around us are meeting Jesus.

And you know what I’ve learned, and continue to as I press on toward the goal of becoming more like Him?

We become truly free.

Free from our old ways and old self that kept us in a bitter prison.

Let’s stop clinging to our lives and realize that Jesus didn’t die for us to one day GO to Heaven. He died and put Himself in us so we can bring Heaven here on earth.

Amen?

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

 -Matthew 6:10
