Worry —
Fear —
Anxiousness —
Stress —
Living this way reveals the areas where we are not putting our confident trust in the Lord, living by faith, but allowing what we see in the natural and how we feel about it to dictate our responses.
As a Christian, the “normal” feelings and concerns that this world brings should not be present in our lives.
We, as Jesus followers, should be the beacon of hope and light to the world around us by NOT getting caught up in the things of this life, and wholeheartedly believing that our peace and joy goes way beyond this world.
But how can we send that message if we’re caught up in the same feelings of worry, anxiousness, and stress?
We can’t.
In order to give this kind of hope to those around us, we have to address where we’ve gone off track and stopped putting our trust in God, but in the things of this world.
Let today be the day you stop and take an honest evaluation of your thoughts and feelings and submit them to God. Take the time to trace the thoughts that have led you to an unsettled mind and begin to renew your mind through the Word until your thoughts are lined up with your faith.
I promise — that as you take the time to capture every rebellious thought and replace each one with what God says, you will unlock His unshakable peace as you begin to put your full trust in Him.
Worry can’t consume you.
Fear will lose its grip.
Anxiety will no longer have a place.
The stress that life can bring will be replaced with a confidence that God has already worked it all out — all you need to do is rest in Him.
And what people will see in you will be the bridge to sharing with them all we have in Jesus.
