Humility Is Empowering

Humility Is Empowering

Pride will always be the stumbling block to personal growth. The truth is, we can’t figure it all out on our own and pride tells us we have to. God did not create us to be apart from Him, or apart from the body of Christ. Isolation perpetuates a cycle of unhealthy mind-sets, habits, and behaviors that keeps us bound, blocking true growth and freedom. ⁣

God has designed us to be in close relationship with Him, but to also have the iron that sharpens relationships in our life that will call us out, and challenge us in the very areas we are working on. When we have that kind of healthy accountability in our lives, it becomes a driving force to greatness! ⁣

My advice, seek out a community of people that won’t just tell you want you want to hear, but are willing to tell you the truth. People who desire to see you succeed, and are in it to see you win at life. ⁣

Don’t give up, even if you’ve experienced the let down from people who’ve not been able to go the distance with you. Recognize your season. Look back and except that the ones who came alongside you for that time did the work that needed to be done, move forward, taking the benefits of that time and build from there. Perspective is everything and remaining a victim to imperfect humans will not launch you forward. Trust God with the ebb and flow of seasonal changes. ⁣

Do not convince yourself that the conferences and books you’ve read will set you up for smooth sailing! That is just one part. The next will be the test to actually USE the tools you’ve gained and you will be put to the test when you are in relationship with actual human beings. THIS is when you will find MANY opportunities to exercise those spiritual and emotional muscles. When you find yourself pressed, triggered and challenged, DO NOT RETREAT! Press in. Work out and apply all you’ve learned until the fruit begins to appear.⁣

And lastly (for now) Remain humble and teachable, admitting that you are stuck in unhealthy cycles that are limiting you from walking in the fullness and freedom that Jesus already paid for. Humility is the key that keeps us teachable, empowering us to continually grow! ♥️, the Life Coach in me ⁣
