There’s a difference between projecting how you want to be seen versus becoming who God designed you to be.
Projecting an image puts a barrier around ourselves, causing us to feel the need to guard and protect from anyone coming to close in fear someone will notice we are not who we say we are.
We are then forced to wear fear and offense, readily able to snap at anyone who questions or challenges us in any way.
From there, we build a self-made prison, missing out on the life and joy that’s right in front of us.
This life leads to loneliness and exhaustion!
The one who spends time looking inward, instead of outward, facing the junk inside of them and learning along the way is free to experience a full life. They don’t fear anyone coming too close because who others see is who they’ve become, and they live in the freedom that they have nothing to hide.
Joy is easy and loving themselves and others is natural because while they are not perfect, and they know it, they like who they are becoming.
Don’t waste your precious time and energy projecting an image…become it.
